ChocoNana

This is the most easy peasy choconana in history with unbeatable results.

It's actually my bestie- Santhi's signature dish, but then she gave me the recipe (plus its secret recipes too),made me so eager to bake one, myself.

Once the cake was baked - I was so elated!!

Talked bout it to Mom yesterday, like a train without a brake (I guess Mom didnt even get most of the story coz I was talking so fast), but anyway we made a deal to have a mom-daughter bonding time, baking Choconana & cookies for Aidilfitri. Can't wait!!

BFF D's Birthday

Posted by Aysha Razali at 2:43 PM 2 comments

Dosh turned 24 last Thursday. It has been 3 years since we celebrated her birthday in Kursk. This year, thanks to MMC for implying new rules such as "Winter practical must be done in Kursk", hence, the extension of our semester stretching long till end of July, well, oh.. looking on the bright side, we get to celebrate Doshini's happy day T.O.G.E.T.H.E.R

It fell on a weekday and we all were having quite a tough cycle, so we decided to make it simple & sweet. We cheated her by dragging her to Evropa mall (of course she managed to figure it out, she's so good in these kinda stuffs), cut the birthday cake & spare time for bowling. Things worked out according to plans.

The BFF Bday Cake. 4 candles - Heart (Dosh), Ladybug (Aysha), Flower (Phraveen), Butterfly (Santhi)

I s*** big time in bowling, therefore, I prefer eating. The cake was so awesomlicious!

Right after bowling, we all realized that life is short, why not just enjoy anyway, so we moved on to Jurassic Park Arcade - a wise decision for a lifetime. WE REALLY HAD THE TIME OF OUR LIVES! From Rodeo Bull riding to Bumper cars to Dance Dance Revolution to some kinda smacking kiddo games, we enjoyed every split second of it, like there's no tomorrow.

Everyone was so cool to ride on that!

Bumpy ride

Most hilarious, triceps-training game I ever played. I suggest they put this in the gym

Came back home - tired but being beyond contend.

But, that's not it, just yet.

Well, you see, Dosh is not just A FRIEND for us, she is THE FRIEND, that we all love to have around, that we'll miss not hearing her voice just after a few hours saying good bye to each other, that we can laugh our lungs out even on something which is not funny coz she'll somehow make it funny in her own way, the type that when you cry, she wont sit and just listen to you but will cheer you up till you smile from one end of the world to another end, the type that will always try her level best to be there when you need someone, let it be just a window-shopping company, she will come from home and tag along with you without any excuses, the friend that will always tell you the truth even though its an ugly truth just because she doesn't want you to feel good , thinking everything is fine when actually it is not.. she's a friend you don't trade for the world, man!!

Since we love her so much, so we thought of throwing her another party. The one that she has no clue about. Turned out, she was totally surprised and even can't accept the fact she was pranked big time... gotcha babe!

The birthday cake, planned otherwise. Glad she liked it anyway!
We were trying to make an Avon catalogue (effort counts, ok!)

I love you like a fat kid loves chocs & cake, and that kid ain't wanna diet!

Kudos to the guys in 1st hostel for preparing the rest of the dishes and keeping it discreet from Dosh. After consuming all those calories we decided to take a stroll all the way down to Pushskinskii Mall...chill out, and that was the wrap of the BFF-D's 24th birthday...

To Dosh, Happy Birthday again! I hope you will always get the best of what life may offer.
P/S: We all love you big time!!

Grand Duchy

Yeah, I bet everyone is smart enough to guess our next destination. A tiny country with only 500k++ population, barely can be seen in the world map, but nice to visit - the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.

Luxembourg was so tiny whiny that while we were searching for our hostel, we took the turn on the right, then we met with a sign "Welcome to Deutschland (Germany)".. and further driving ahead for another 2 minutes, we met with another sign "Welcome to France". Ahha. Isn't that cool, the fact that you can be in 3 different countries in just 5 minutes :-)

Hostel was supernice. It was like a log cabin but it was extremely huge. And the room was sooo spacious & cozy that I wish I could swap it with my room in Russia. The bathroom tops the list - it made me and Tiq struggle to be the 1st to wake up, so we can "rasmi"kan the bathroom 1st. Once you're in there, you dont wanna come out!! Can betchya' on that...

Hostel entree

Brilliant balcony view (How I wish to wake up every morning to this)

Check the bathroom for yourself! Seeing is believing, not thru photos!

At night we went out hunting for Asian food. Yes, you are free to say that FOOD IS SUCH AN IMPORTANT AGENDA in our trip. *raise hands, guilty as charged*. Done with Western, done with Mediterranean, now heading for All-Asian yaw! The town was so quiet at night, it made me felt that my dad owns the whole Luxembourg. (Yeah, dream on!! *while dad slaps forehead*)

The serene town of Luxembourg

Bye-Bye Lux..let's hope there'll be a 2nd time. Off to Brussels~
