Lifetime Boyfie

To the world, this is my lifetime boyfie that I wont trade, not even for life.

Today you turn 17.

I still remember the day I visited Umi & saw you for the first time. Accidently, I hit the bed and you woke up. I felt awkward. A new family member, a stranger.

The days you were growing up were really  testing my patience. Most of the times you got on my nerves.

YES!

In any case, I have to let you win just because you are younger.

When you ruin my stuffs, I can't get angry at you because you are younger.

I have to keep and eye on you when actually I wanted to be alone, because you are younger.

I have to share things with you even if I don't want to, because you are younger.

You were never wrong, just because you are younger.

You were THE celebrity in the house because you are the YOUNGEST AND THE ONLY GUY.

At one point Abah was crazy buying matching things for you & him so both of you could pair up. For 10 years he was a lone-runner, so could understand the excitement right?You are his all-time favorite team mate & he'll always have your back.

Umi on the other hand doesn't spend that much (she's saving for your better future) but she has always been there for you, with you. 

During this age(like pic above), only a person with high level of patience & low threshold of being annoyed can stand you - and that was Umi. 

But as days go by, your charm made me love you anyway! Ahha.

You might be annoying, but sometimes you are charming.

You might be a pain in the A** but sometimes you can be a blessing in disguise.

You might be a problem-maker, but sometimes you are the problem solver.

This year marks a journey to another episode of your life - college life. I do hope that things will sail smoothly for you, but I know they won't. Life is like that, dear. However, I hope that when things go wrong, you'll manage to pull yourself together. If you fumble, no matter how hard, you'll get back on track in a jiffy. If life seems unfair to you, you won't lose your faith and keep being optimistic that better days will come, its just the matter of time. If you feel like failing, you will never give up & fight till the last line. If you did a mistake, you will realize it soon enough so that you'll have time to fix it. If you feel alone or down, you'll always turn to us. You  know we will always be there for you ALL THE TIME.

Alhamdulillah, your presence in the house made it overly filled with love & laugh.

Here's a Happy Happy Happy Birthday wish to my beloved brother, my shopping partner, my karaoke partner, my problem listener, my best friend - the only person that can stand an over-protective, angry, annoying & sometimes crazy sister like me!

Thank you for the 17 years that if I was given a chance to change anything about it - there'll be nothing at all!

When I come home, we'll do it once again!
