Kursk Day

Posted by Aysha Razali at 11:18 PM
25 Sept - It's Kursk Day!

It was the day to honor my home-city for 7 years - Kursk, last Sunday.

Me & roomie decided to go and join the crowd coz as far as I remember the last time we went was during our 1st year here. Boy, that was 6 years ago!

The day was fun, the weather was nice & everyone was so cheerful. Practically every stranger was talking to another stranger, so much of joy in the air.

ON OUR WAY TO CATCH THE BUS - AT BORODINO PARK:

I have always loved Autumn! Always...

BEFORE THE EVENT

Znamenskiy Cathedral

Suddenly this guy came and told me, he liked the idea of ladies wearing hijab & gave his compliments that made my day a whole lot merrier ;)

Background : The Mayor's office

Love the gigantic balloon flowers, esp the PINK one

Kuryanie (people originated from Kursk) veterans

The carriage, loved to try but I didn't see any adult who rode so far

White, blue, red - their flag color

PERFORMANCES & PERFORMERS

AFTER THE EVENT

My home city for 7 years

Russian traditional kitchenette

What the Ruski ppl loves the most, second to Vodka - flowers!

Sneak peak of Ruski's village life

Lenin Street

A few minutes before it rained, wish I bought the bunny hairband earlier *sad*
Lenin & Lenina

It was quite freezing - 16'C!

Do Svidania! (goodbye)

INTERMISSON : IT RAINED

Where we found shelter - @ McD's (it was packed!)

Decided to walk along Lenin St. to take few more snaps.

Old folks

Kursk Hotel

Skaterboyz

Erm, anyone?

Reached Punshkinskiy Mall

The Summer Terrace

Let's go home!
