The Smurfs party

Posted by Aysha Razali at 10:47 PM
Veen hosted a blue-themed party on Saturday night, as a treat for growing old (kidding!). The party was awesome as in everyone did turn up in blue, the food spread was very smurfylicous, laughter & smiles were everywhere...just so much of joy floating in the air.

Mind the pots & pans - we are the sempoi kinda ppl

The best part of the whole night was the game we played. It is called GIVE AND TAKE. How to play the game was easy peasy - just write a punishment for a friend, and you must write the name of the friend you want to punish & your own name. Example : To ABC, do 20 star jumps married to 20 frog jumps. From XYZ.

Veen reading out the request cards

The tricky part was, no one really paid attention why is the game called such. Can anyone guess why is it called Give and Take? No one? Kacang only - because whatever punishment you give to your friend (give), you must DO IT FIRST (take), then after that only your friend will have to do it.

After everyone passed up their request sheets, Veen told the truth behind the meaning of the game. At that instant, everybody's jaw dropped to the floor, yes, there were 16 jaws that can be seen on the floor.

However, much to my surprise everyone was soooo smurfy-cool and smurfupportive, they practically did all those silly requests we made. Some had to dance salsa & some other traditional dances, another one had to put makeup on his face, someone else had to sing and so many other funny requests.

At, first it was rather embarrassing but when its between people which you feel as family you can just lift the shy veil and be yourself, you know families don't judge each other..

But the highlight of the game was, when someone wrote like this:

Dear XXX, please jump out of the window. From XXXXX

How could someone possibly do that??? Like, get real, we're now at the 6th floor for your kind information!! I know it was a cruel request but honestly, we all felt it was so funny till we laughed our lungs out. We decided not to turn the fun party into some grieve ceremony, so no one was gonna suicide that night, hence, the request was cancelled. I still cannot digest, using all the logical sense I have that how could a person possibly think of that kind of punishment. Don't call me a psycho but I find it rather smurfycute, I can say.

Candid shot - one for the album

Overall, the night was an enjoyable way to start off the weekend. It's true that they say time flies when you're happy, because we all had abundant sumrf-fun that night, no one realized that it was nearly midnight! Of course, we started to miss the company the moment they stepped out the door.
